Rope Handling for Better Connection

September 3 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:45 pm

A class designed to help make the most of your rope scenes, regardless of experience!

Presented by MxBliss

We’re so pleased to be able to bring @theDude to Sanctuary to teach a class on rope handling. He’ll cover some rope handling techniques first, and then dive into how to use these techniques to be able to focus energy on our partner rather than the rope. Practicing these techniques will help you to better control your tails, connect with your partner, and tie at a faster pace. @mxBliss will be joining @theDude to discuss modifications and techniques for smaller riggers and varying body types.

While this is designed as a partner tie class, if you don’t have a tying partner (or are looking for a rope Top), please come a bit before 7 and we’ll spend the first 15 minutes helping people pair up and negotiate in advance of class. We will endeavor to start the class right around 7:15.

While rope bottoming/Topping experience is helpful, it is not necessary.

$15 cash/$17 CC

Requirements:
2-3 bundles of rope 25’-30’ long
Safety shears/cutter
A partner to tie

Bio: @TheDude has been tying for around 15 years now. He’s had opportunity to learn from a large swath of rope educators around the globe. TheDude is passionate about building community, and bring new techniques into the local rope community. He can often be found playing at, teaching for, and occasionally performing in the Denver Sanctuary and Studio Friction.
